Wireless Headphones

With this summer being as hot as it has been, we’ve been having Anthony (our two year old) take his daily nap downstairs where it’s waaaaaay cooler than our furnace of an upstairs.  Plus, I do a fair amount of work-from-home work in front of the TV a couple nights a week after my family goes to bed.  My personal policy is no TV sound while you’re sleeping – that’s like my pet peeve.  So that meant during naps I was TV-less, and at night I was watching my shows reallllllly quietly…a little too quietly some times.  I was for reals a person from an infomercial – – – there had to be a better way!

I started looking online and found these headphones.  I love them so much.  There’s a thing that plugs into your TV that’s attached to a docking station for the headphones.  That’s where you store them when you’re not using them.  When you are ready to use them, you just pick them up off the docking station and they don’t have a cord or anything.  I can walk up to several rooms away and still hear the TV super clearly!

Also, the volume on them is separate from the volume on the TV, so you can turn the headphones up loud, or use the headphones and the regular TV volume at the same time if you have someone in your family who is hard of hearing but you don’t love having the TV blaring all the time.

I was telling my dad about them (I have basically told everyone I know about them) and he was telling me one of his friends bought the same thing out of an AARP magazine ad…except I think the brand was Bose and they were $150!!!!!  I feel like these are every bit as good as those with a way more accessible price.

The docking station and the headphones connect via Bluetooth, so there’s a teensy bit of setup but the instructions that come with them walk you right through it.

I hope if you ever get them you love them as much as I do!
Happy quiet listening!
