Sarah Likes the Magic School Bus Rides Again

I know I just posted a few days ago about Lin-Manuel Miranda’s latest work, the Puerto Rico relief song “Almost Like Praying“, but let’s be honest: he can do no wrong.
Today’s post is another Lin-Manuel Miranda-touched piece of art: the reboot of the Magic School Bus.

Netflix just released Season 1 of The Magic School Bus Rides Again.  It is wonderful!  It’s everything you loved about the original series about a quirky teacher, Miss Frizzle, who takes her students on a magic school bus that can shrink down, fly, go underwater, into space, etc. in order to make scientific and historic discoveries.

It’s everything you loved AND MORE.  In the first episode, we learn that Miss Frizzle (voiced by the original Miss Frizzle, Lily Tomlin) has become a Professor and will be travelling the world, and the class will be taken over by her little sister, Miss Frizzle (voiced by the awesome Kate McKinnon from SNL) who is just as quirky and fun as her older sister.  Plus, the graphics are better than the original (thank you technology) and the theme song is re-done and sung by Lin-Manuel.

It’s obviously geared towards elementary school aged kids but it’s appropriate for all ages.  My two year old loves it, my 33 year old (husband) loves it, and I love it!  Fun for the whole family!
