It’s the final day of National Adoption Month!
As promised, today’s post is very special: a huge list of adoption-related books, and a special annoucement!
Earlier this month I talked about openness in adoption and what we’ll tell Anthony about his adoption (spoiler alert: everything!), and I talked about incorporating books featuring adoption into our repertoire of books we read. Here are a few of our favorites:
Now, here’s a list of over 50 adoption-related children’s books for you to check out!
You’ll see from the descriptions that the books are different; some deal with infant domestic adoption, like ours, some deal with foster care and adoption from foster care, some deal with international adoption, and some deal with adoption of an older child. But truly, all of these books are recommended for all children; whether or not you are from an adoptive family like ours, your children will benefit from reading books about kids different from them! They would all make excellent gifts for adoptive families, too.
Now, here’s a special announcement to round out the month:
Launching January 1st, I’m starting an online e-shop for adoption-related gifts!
Baby onesies, toddler tees, books, greeting cards, gifts for birthmothers, and more!
It’ll be hosted at http://www.AdoptionIsAGift.com.
I’ll post more info about it as the launch day gets closer! ♥
Thank you, dear friends and readers, for going on this Adoption Month journey with me. I have received a lot of truly kind encouragement via this site, Facebook, Twitter, and real life (imagine that!) and it meant to much to me to share our story and have it be so graciously received! As always, if you have any questions for us, we’d love to hear them!
Just a reminder that next week will start a special money-making week of posts! Each day will feature a fun and cool way for you to earn some extra Christmas dough!
You can’t afford NOT to read it! 😀
