All week I’m posting about fun and unique ways to earn extra cash!
(I’ve posted about Selling on eBay, Being in Focus Groups, Serving on a Mock Jury, Mystery Shopping, and Side Hustles so far!)
Everything I’m posting are things I personally do to make money…I can assure you if I post a link to something, it’s a legit site.
Today I’m posting about Bing Rewards!
Okay, I’m cheating a bit because I promised you cash, and you can’t get cash from Bing Rewards, but you can get things that are as good as cash…gift cards, money off your current subscriptions, your charitable donations matched, etc.
Let’s be honest, we all know that Google is the best search engine. Sorry, but it’s true.
But Bing is so desperate for people to use their search engine, they are willing to pay you to do it. You earn points by doing searches and clicking on their special links, and if you’re really dedicated to it you can quickly earn some good rewards: amazon gift cards, starbucks gift cards, money off your Hulu subscription, certain charitable donations will be matched by Microsoft…the rewards are pretty legit and those rewards can really make a difference.
Okay, so full disclosure: I still use Google when I am actually searching online for something. But I have made Bing my home page, so the very first thing I do when I get online is click on the top news story boxes at the bottom of the screen. Those automatically open top searches, and as a bonus, I get some news that way.
To start earning money with Bing:
- Register for Bing Rewards by clicking here and logging in with your Microsoft account (you might have to create one).
- Every day, do the maximum amount of searches that you are eligible to earn points for.
- Once you have earned some points, go to “Redeem” to start changing your points into gift cards, etc.!
Like I said, I made Bing.com my home page to remind me to do my searches, but Google is still my default search engine when I type a phrase into my address bar. It’s the best of both worlds.
Shout out to MEGAN SIMMONS for telling me about the wonderful world of Bing Rewards years and years ago…thanks, Meg!!!
There’s only one more day of the week left for the money-making posts!
Tomorrow is a post about claiming money that’s already yours but not yet in your bank account! Congrats, you might already be rich and not know it yet!
See ya tomorrow!
